Biography
Christian (Bethune) Balfour was born in Scotland.
Christian was born about 1521. She is said to have been third daughter of John Beatoun of Creich, by his wife Janet Hay, daughter of John Hay, Provost of Dundee, brother of the Laird of Naughton.[1]
She married Michael Balfour, Lord of Burliegh, and had a daughter Margaret.[1]
