I find no entries in americanancestors for David Cook in Harwinton. However, father Samuel's will, he is referred to only as Daniel. Further, Harwinton records do refer to the 1778 birth and 1803 marriage of Daniel Cook, Jr., likely our Daniel's son. As it was still unusual for middle names to be given in the mid-1700s, one must ask if "David" was simply an addition made by someone in the future (a not unusual occurrence!).
