Biography

Wife of Moses aged 83 yrs. "Early Vital Records of Mass. (Lynn Deaths)"

The daughter of Thomas & Ann (South) Ivory, Sara Ivory married Moses Chadwell in December 1660 in Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1]

In her will written in January of 1724/5, she deeded land to her son-in-law, John Ramsdell (husband of Elizabeth) and her other daughter, Sarah, wife of John's older brother. Son-in-law, John Ramsdell, died shortly after her death and left his estate to Elizabeth.

Sarah Chadwell died (age 83) on 8 May 1726 in Lynn, Massachusetts.^[2] Sarah Chadwell was mentioned on a memorial in Western Burial Ground, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States with a death date of 8 May 1726.^[3]

Here lyes buried ye body of Mrs. Sarah Chadwell, wife to Mr. Moses Chadwell, who dec'd May 8th 1726, Aged 83 years.
