Daniel Barnes was born in Ireland.
Daniel Barnes was a convict after the Third Fleet.

Daniel was tried at the Lancaster Assizes on 8th September 1821, sentence, transportation for life. Charged with having burglariously broken into the premises of James Leigh of Liverpool with intent to steal his goods and chattels. He was originally assigned to Windsor, before being sent to King Georges Sound (now part of Western Australia).
