Biography

Thomas "Dave" was born in 1841 in Tennessee. He was the son of George and Effie (Reider) Moyers. Thomas married Lydia Davis on December 25, 1872, in Jackson County, Kentucky. Their children were Evelina, Pattie, Ulysses Simpson, Margaret, Fannie, and Minerva. Dave was a farmer and cabinet maker. After the death of his wife, Lydia, in 1905, Dave moved to Berea, Kentucky. In 1910, he was living with his daughter, Evelina (Moyers) Powell, and her family in Estill County, Kentucky. He died in 1915 and is buried in the Berea Cemetery, Berea, Kentucky.
