Wm was born in Alabama in 1806 and Anna was born in S. Carolina in 1807. Both their fathers fought in the war of 1812. They married in 1830 in Tennessee, where he worked as a tanner, and later moved to Kentucky and Missouri. In 1850, they hitched mule to wagon and set out for Oregon with their three children, a nephew and some cattle. Six months later, they arrived. William and Anna took up a 640-acre donation land claim. Their son, John W. Weaver (also listed in this cemetery in findagrave.com ), was 20 at the time, but because he was unmarried couldn't get the full claim and got 320 acres instead.
