Biography

H. E. Bowers (no indication of age or gender) is buried at Lone Oak Cemetery near Luling in Caldwell County, TX. All burials at this cemetery occurred between 1853 and 1900. Therefore we are looking for a person born, lived and died between approximately 1770 and 1900. This cemetery served the pioneer community of (New) Atlanta. The settlers here came from Georgia and Tennessee.

Buried nearby in Harwood, Gonzales County, TX, is one James Philemon Bowers Jr who was born 1865 in Stewart County, GA. and died 1935. His father, James P. Bowers Sr (b. 1836 in Macon, GA), and his mother, Epsa Ann Johnson (b. 1835 in NC), had 13 children only 6 still living in the 1900 census.
