Obituary that appeared in the COMMERCIAL APPEAL, Memphis, TN, May 31, 2004 "CLAYTON MITCHELL, 84, of Bartlett, retired supervisor for Firestone, died Sunday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartlett Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and active in the Senior Ministry, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Mitchell, the husband of Louise Mitchell for 63 years, also leaves a daughter, Virginia Faye Scott of Memphis; a son, Tommy Mitchell of Bartlett; three sisters, Pansy Roberson of Oxford, Miss., Earleen Tousinau of Pascagoula, Miss., and Frances Carlin of Tulsa, Okla., and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Bartlett Baptist Church Building Fund."
