Funeral services for George McClinton (Bud) Davis, 52, employee of Genesco, Inc., of Pulaski, for nineteen years, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Marcus Nickell and the Rev. W. H. Moss, Methodist ministers. Burial took place in Maplewood Cemetery. Mr. Davis died at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, January 16, of a heart ailment at Giles County Hospital following a two year period of declining health.
Born July 9, 1909, in Giles County, he was the son of the late Ervin Davis and Ophie Thigpen Davis. He was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Tomerlin Davis; one son, Jimmy Davis; and one daughter, Donna Davis; one brother, Coleman Davis, Prospect; and two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Cole and Mrs. Clifford Russell, both of Pulaski.
