Biography

George St George was born in Ireland.

Sir George St George was born 13 January 1583. ^[1]

He emigrated from Cambridge^{[citation needed]} to Carrickdrumrusk, County Leitrim^[1].

He was a Member of Parliament. ^[1]

He married Catherine Gifford, daughter of Captain Gifford of Castle Jordan, King's County. ^[1] (Note: Castlejordan lies on the border between both County Offaly and County Meath. ^[2])

They had two sons, Oliver St George^[3] and George St George. ^[1]

George died 5 Aug 1660, being murdered ^[4] at Croghan, King's County. ^[1]
