Margaret was born in 1809-1811 according to census reports. Margaret surname is Unknown, but some genealogies say it's Hoyet. She married James Moyer. He died in 1842 at the age of 35.

She passed away in 1890, according to the headstone she shares with her husband James Moyer at his Find A Grave memorial at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Canastota, New York.
