Dorothy Ann Cook passed away suddenly at her Hill Ray home in Colfax, April 14, 2012. She was born in Glasgow, Montana July 2, 1935 to Charles and Rose (Michaelson) Walker. Dorothy grew up on the family farm outside Glasgow on the Milk River. She attended Glasgow High School where she graduated in 1953 and then attended Northern College for a short time. She married Marvin L. Cook December 27, 1953 and had three children together. Dorothy and Marvin lived in Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming before moving to the Palouse in 1969. Dorothy was a Sunday school teacher and active in the Peace Lutheran Church in Colfax for many years. She started working at Tick Klock Drug in 1972 where she worked until her retirement in 2004. She took great joy in her family and friends and always had a story to tell. She will be missed by many and we will miss her opinions and sense of humor. She could always make us laugh. She is survived by her three children, Joyce Cook (Spokane, WA), Michael Cook and wife Jean (Colbert WA), Linda Skelton and husband William, and five grandchildren; Lucas Hundtoft, Brittany Cook, Misty, Leslie, and Richard Skelton. Funeral Services will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church in Colfax Friday, April 20, 2012, at 11:00am followed by a burial service at the Colfax Cemetery. The family asks that donations be made to the Peace Lutheran Church.[1]
