He married Ellen Lou Morrow about 1905 in Mississippi.[1] In the 1910 Census, they are living in West Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi along with two sons, Grady and
Clyde, and his mother, Banie (or Vanie) Smith (age 55). Ellen is listed as the mother of three children with two living. His occupation is listed as Blacksmith.
He died in September 1972 and is buried at Jumpertown Cemetery in Jumpertown, Prentiss County, Mississippi.[2]
