Phyllis Stewart was born 28 February 1923 in Gray County, Kentucky, USA and died 13 September 2014 Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA. Phyllis was married to Walter Hopkins. Walter died of cancer in the mid 1970’s. Phyllis and Walter worked for the Knoxville Utilities Board, Phyllis in the Billing Department and Walter in the Accounting Department. In 1978 she started dating Walter Lee “Dusty” Holder and they were married in 1979. Phyllis is buried in Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville.
She grew up in the mountains of Clairfield, Tennessee, coal mining community on the Tennessee- Kentucky line during the Great Depression. As a young girl her father taught her to make biscuits at breakfast and that began her life as a great cook. She was a wonderful Southern cook and famous for her Angel Biscuits, cornbread, green tomato relish, homemade preserves and most especially her desserts. She could whip out a tasty country meal with little or no effort. During the Holidays you could count on her to prepare her Green Punch, fudge, cakes, candies and cookies. She always wanted everyone to be happy during the holiday’s young and old alike. Family was everything to Phyllis.
There was always someone for Phyllis to care for starting in the 1940’s and 1950’s with her father, followed by her brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, Miss Flossie (her mother), both her husbands, friends and neighbors. She lived by the Golden Rule, she always loved her neighbor and they loved her.

The Find A Grave memorial number is not the same as the one in the link. Can you change it to match so it will not still be on my 586 Suggestion list?
I would appreciate it!
Thanks, Sheila
During my Data Doctor rounds, I noticed this profile is on my check-up list for Suggestion 586 - Linked to a merged Memorial ID for Find A Grave. You can read more about this here on the help page for this suggestion: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_586
I sent you a Private Message with the corrected citation and template for the new memorial. If you will, please copy and paste that citation from the PM and replace the old link. Also, please delete any reference to the old memorial as it will continue to generate a suggestion error. You will only need the new citation on the profile.
The profile is locked, so I cannot make the changes. I appreciate your help and please let me know if I can help you in any way!
Thanks, Sheila
