Biography
Elizabeth Libby was born on 8 February 1769 in Scarborough, Maine. Her parents were Daniel Libby and Dorothy (Hasty) Libby[1].
She married Edward Libby on 2 October 1791. They had eleven children[2]:
- 1. Sewall, born 10 Jun 1793; married Achsa Hall
- 2. Dorotha, born 4 Sep 1794; married Thomas Johnson
- 3. Sarah, born 11 Jun 1796; married John Jones
- 4. Gardner, born 22 Jan 1798; married Hannah Moulton
- 5. Hannah, born 18 Jan 1800; married Reuben Shaw
- 6. Marrett, born 3 May 1802; married Mary Libby
- 7. Eliza, born 5 May 1804; married 1st John Johnson, 2nd William Johnson
- 8. Joseph, born 10 Mar 1806; married Mary A. Libby
- 9. Alvah, born 11 Feb 1808; married Ann Harmon
- 10. Ebenezer H., born 22 Dec 1810; married Catherine Irish
- 11. Maria G., born 9 Apr 1813
Elizabeth passed away on 27 April 1853[3].
