Biography

Joseph was born in 1929 in France. He was about 12 and his mother hid him with the Catholic Church in an orphanage. He told me this is where he converted. He came to America after WWII about 1950. He wanted to give back because he was too young to fight in the big war. He joined the Air Force and spent time in Japan. When he became a US citizen he changed his name to something that he could put on his uniform and that would be easy to say . He met Marie in NY and felt at home with each other because they both could speak French. They were married and he gave her son his name. They had three more children together. Grandpa Joe had a garage for most of his life. Later he had back surgery and never walked. I have to say he still did yard work and all kinds of things. He was a very determined man and never let anything get in his way .... He passed away in 2015 not long after Marie . ^[1]
