Biography

Philip Goudey was the son of George Goudey and Elizabeth Morgan of Marblehead, Massachusetts^{[1] [2]}.

On February 6, 1766, he married Sarah Main, daughter of John and Sarah (Collier) Main^{[3] [1] [2]},

In 1775, Philip and Sarah emigrated to Nova Scotia, where they were among the first settlers of Yarmouth township^{[4] [5] [6] [1] [2]}

2. John, baptized September 23, 1770^[7], who died young^{[1] [2]}
3. Sarah Main, baptized June 20, 1773^[7], who married first John Sollows son of Willoughby, and then married Lemuel Crosby (1st of Yarmouth, son of Lemuel)^{[1] [2]}
4. Thomas Morgan, born August 7, 1775 in Yarmouth, NS, who married Elizabeth Harris, daughter of David^[1]
