Ashwell Perry Acott was born on December 1, 1885 in Palmyra, Otoe, Nebraska, United States, son of John T Acott (1844– ) and Ann M Hemmings (1845– ).^[1]

Ashwell (23) married Nellie Ruth Bamford (22) (born on August 24, 1886 in Clarno, Green, Wisconsin, United States; daughter of Ehud Bamford and Caroline (Kolb) Bamford) on January 17, 1909 in Logan, Colorado, United States.^[2]
