Doris Marcum was born on January 28, 1917 in Oneida, Scott, Tennessee, United States. Her parents were James Marcum and Vera Watters. ^[1]

On July 13, 1923 six year old Louise rode in a wagon with her mother, Her sister Aileen, her brother, Wallace Marcum and her uncle, Bud Watters that was carrying Willis Greene to his final resting place. 79 years later her brothers retold the story that lead up to that wagon wide on that hot, summer day. ^[2]

She married Lester Litton on September 28, 1937. ^[1]

She died on January 01, 2004 in Oneida, Scott, Tennessee, United States. ^[1]

She was laid to rest in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery in Oneida, Scott County, Tennessee, United States. ^[1][3]
