Biography
"Jonah Newton was the brother of Roger Newton, and both were the sons of Capt Enoch newton, son of Lieut. Samuel Newton, son of Capt Samuel Newton, son of Capt Samuel Newton. The Latter born at Heartford, October 20 1646, served as an Ensign under Capt. Robert Treat in 'King Philips War.' He married in Milford, Martha Fenn, on March 14, 1669.
