Biography

John Kenney, son of Wm and Maryan Jane Kenny, was born on May 12, 1801.^[1] He was born in Ohio. ^[2]

After marrying Lydia Mathews on Sept 11, 1823 (by Clement Vallandingham,)^[3] they had three children, John Hefrin Kenney (b. May 27th, 1824,) Maryan Jane Kenney (b. June 29, 1826) and James Mathews Kenney (b. August 17, 1828.)^[1] It is likely that they lived in New Lisbon, Ohio. According to a book concerning early New Lisbon, Ohio history, Rev. Clement Vallandigham was with the Presbyterian Church of New Lisbon from 1807 until his death in 1839. ^[4]

John Kenney died in 1829, at the age of 28, and was buried in New Lisbon, Ohio at the Jordanville Cemetery.^[5]
