Anne Douglas was born in Scotland.

Anne was born about 1630 in Berwickshire, Scotland, her father, James,^[1] was 39, and her mother, Anne, was 26.

She married Robert Lord Sempill on February 8, 1648, in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland.^[1] hey had children :

1. Robert, Master of Sempill, b. c 1655, d. 1670. a youth of great hopes and spirit, who died unmarried in the 18th year of his age^[1]
2. Francis, 8th Lord Semphill, b. circa 1660, d. 4 Apr 1684^[1]
3. James, d. b 1675^[1]
4. Elizabeth^[1]
5. Anne, d. 1695^[1]
6. Jean Sempill. m. Alexander Sinclair of Roslin and had issue.^[1]

Anne survived James, who died in Jan 1675,^[1] and died before 17 Feb 1688, in Renfrewshire, Scotland, at the age of 58.^[1]
