Daniel CANFIELD ^[1][2] was born ^[3][4][5] 1761 and was christened ^[6] 14 Jun 1761 in First Congregational Church Of Derby. He died ^[7][8][9] 25 Dec 1818 and was buried ^[10][11] in Great Hill Cemetery, Seymour, New Haven, CT. Daniel married ^[12][13] Anna HURD on 11 Jan 1789 in Derby, New Haven, CT.

Joseph Canfield and Sarah Stilson had children, including:

Daniel Canfield, born on 21 Mar. 1761 in Derby,[36] baptized on 14 June 1761 in Derby,[37] married Anna Hurd, daughter of Zadock and Eunice (Hinman) Hurd (Jr.), of Woodbury, CT,[38] on 11 Jan. 1789.[39] She was supposedly born on 13 Aug. 1765,[40] but her baptismal date is 26 Aug. 1764 in Woodbury.[41] He was probably living in Derby, CT, in the 1790,[42] and 1800 federal censuses,[43] and was probably the D. Canfield in Derby in the 1810 federal census.[44] He died on 25 Dec. 1818 in Seymour, CT, aged 57 years, 9 months, 4 days,[45] and she died on 21 Jan. 1827 in Seymour, CT,[46] and they were both buried in Great Hill Cemetery in Seymour, CT. They had children:

• William Canfield, born on 18 Sept. 1794 in Derby, CT. He died on 15 June 1853 in Seymour, CT.

• (Probably) Joseph Canfield, born ca. 1800 in Derby.

• Almira Canfield, born on 5 Dec. 1801 in Derby, married Charles Bradley. She died on 10 Oct. 1883 in Seymour, CT.

• Sarah “Sally” Canfield, born on 5 Jan. 1804 in Derby, died on 18 Aug. 1841 in Seymour, CT.

• Caroline Canfield, born on 26 Sept. 1806 in Derby, married Treat Botsford, son of Nehemiah and Lucy (Waters) Botsford, on 5 Jan. ca. 1835 in Derby. She died on 16 Feb. 1854 in New Haven, CT.

• Judson Canfield, born in Derby, married Sarah Miles on 28 Nov. 1836 in Derby. He died on 25 Dec. 1872 in New Haven, CT.
