Thomas Maunsell MP KC was born in Ireland.
Biography
Thomas was born about 1705. He was the son of Richard Maunsell and Margaret Twigg.
He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.) and was admitted to The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in London, England, commonly known simply as Middle Temple, entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law. After a while he returned to Dublin.
He became of Member of the King's Inn, the professional association of Irish Barristers, in Michaelmas Term, 1741.
Thomas was Counsel to the Commisioner of Customs and he held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilmallock. He was also a King's Counsel and a County Court Judge.
His career as a barrister prospered and he married well, to Dorothea Waller (daughter of Richard Waller of Castle Waller) on 9 March 1728 at St Mary, Cathedral, Limerick, Ireland.[1]

- Robert of Bank Place married 1782, Anne Stone, only daughter and heiress of John Maxwell Stone
- Elizabeth married Henry White in 1765.
- George (Rev) married Helena Eyre, daughter of Richard Hedges Eyre, of Macroom Castle and Mount Hedges, co. Cork
- Blanche, married Maunsell Sargeant
- Margaret, married Robert Going, of Traverston Hall.
- Elizabeth, married Henry White.
- Dorothea, married William Long Kingsman.
Thomas died in 1773.
