Biography

Sir William Tichborne was born in 1635, in Beaulieu, County Louth, Ireland. He was the son of Sir Henry Tichborne and Jane Newcomen. He passed away 12 Mar 1693, in Beaulieu, County Louth, Ireland.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Children of Sir William Tichborne:

  1. Benjamin married Elizabeth Gibbs, daughter of Major Edward Gibbs.
  2. Henry, 1st and last Baron Ferrard of Beaulieu b. 1663, d. 1731
  3. William, captain in the sea service . He was castaway off Plymouth in 1692, aged twenty-three, and died unmarried.
  4. John, Colonel of his Majesty's Forces and governor of Athlowe.
  5. Richard M.A. of Trinity College Dublin and sometime of Magdalen Hall, Oxford, died unmarried in 1693, aged twenty one.
  6. Bysse, Captain of foot, lost his life in the defence of Gibraltar in 1704.
  7. Mary married John Hoey of Dunganstown, County wicklow
