Biography

Hirsch Goldberg was a prominent cantor in Braunschweig, active until the age of eighty. He composed chants for small choirs, and hymns which were used in local communities for many years. He is mentioned in Jewish Music: Its Historical Development, by Abraham Z. Idelsohn, Dover Books, New York, 1992.
