William Pleydell-Bouverie, 3rd Earl of Radnor was born on 11 May 1779. He was the son of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie, 2nd Earl of Radnor and Hon. Anne Duncombe. He m(1) Lady Catherine Pelham-Clinton, daughter of Henry Fiennes Pelham-Clinton, Earl of Lincoln and Lady Frances Seymour-Conway, on 2 October 1801 and (2) Judith Anne St. John-Mildmay, daughter of Sir Henry Paulet St. John-Mildmay, 3rd Bt. and Jane Mildmay, on 24 May 1814. He succeeded his father as 3rd Earl of Radnor on 27 January 1828. He died on 9 April 1869 at age 89.
