He married Joan (died 1 or 24 Apr 1442),[1] widow of Robert Wascelin, and daughter of Gerard Salvin, Knt.[2] Her heir was her son Robert Wascelin.[1]
In 1397, Joan, noble woman, wife of Gerard de Sothell, donsel, nobleman, of the diocese of Lincoln was granted a papal indult for a portable altar for mass.[3]
Gerard Sothill died on 1 Aug 1410.[4] His heir was his son Gerard.[4]
