Sgt. Marco James Maley age 32 of the Helenwood Community, passed away on Sunday, September 07, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott. He was born June 24, 1982 in Columbus, Ohio. He was an eight (8) year Veteran of the U.S. Marines serving two (2) tours of duty in Iraq and attaining the Rank of Seargent. Marco worked five (5) years for USP of McCreary County, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his Father-in-law: Charles Henry Mills; Step Father-in-law: Tommy Smith; Grandparents: Hildon and Helen Litton, Berta Sexton; Niece: Abby.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Mills Maley of the Helenwood Community; Children: Emily Maley, Sawyer Barnes and Lucas Maley all of the Helenwood Community; Parents: Gary and Linda Litton of Huntsville; Mother-in-law: Georgia Ruth Smith; Grandfather: Charles Buster Sexton; Brothers: Adam Litton, Michael Litton and wife LaVada, Jeff Litton and wife Casey and Caleb Litton; Biological Brothers: Jason Maley and Clint Maley; Biological Sisters: Marie Gunter, Patricia Bryant, Kimberly Bryant; Half Sister: Ashley Maley; Special Marine Corp Friends: John Best and the rest of the Marine Corp. Special Friends: Michael Litton, Mitchell Smithers, Gregory Boshears, Steven Trotter, Cody Lloyd, Toby Lindsay and David Phillips; Special Family, LaDonna Hughett, Henry Mills and Andy Newport; Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Karen Myers and husband Jeff, Dean Moncrief and husband Jamie, Sandy Lloyd, Charles Mills, Jason Mills and Chasity, Jenny Strunk, Henry Mills, Alena Hill and husband Jonathon; Aunt and Uncle: Ruby and Bill Hamby; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M., Thursday Afternoon, September 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Joey Zachary Officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #136 and Marine Corp.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Litton, Michael Litton, Caleb Litton, Adam Litton, Cody Lloyd, Gregory Boshears, Toby Lindsey and Tyler Strunk.
Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Sgt. Marco James Maley.
