Henry was born about 1844 in Middlesex, England, United Kingdom

He married Margaret Mary Josephine (Graham) Brabant on the 12 October 1869, at Raglan, by special license, Henry Stamforth Brabant, Esq., of Eskdale, Waikato, to Margaret Mary Josephine Graham, of Raglan. ^[1] They had about ten children.

Henry passed away in May 1926 at 4 Mataura Rd, Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand, and was buried at the O'Neill's Point Cemetery, Belmont, Auckland Council, Auckland, New Zealand.^[2]

OBITUARY.

MR. H. S. BRABANT.

A much-esteemed resident of Remuera. Mr. Harry Stainforth Brabant, died at his residence. Matere Road, on Monday, aged 82 years. He was the second son of the late Mr. William Hugh Brabant, of London, and arrived in New Zealand in 1863 by the ship Cashmere. Mr. Brabant came to Auckland and served during the latter part of tie war with the Maoris, Later he settled at Waipa. and in 1869 married the daughter of the late Mr. James Graham. In 1882 Mr. Brabant went to reside at Tauranga where his brother was Stipendiary Magistrate. He was for some time farming at Onumoetai. and thirty years ago came to reside at Devonport. Later he removed to Remuera. Mrs. Brabant predeceased her husband. There are four sons and six daughters. Mr. Brabant was a justice of the peace, took great interest in church matters, and filled, the office of warden,^[3]
