Biography
Verbaline Holybee[1], was born 12 June 1966 (1900 census says Jan) in Texas to Hezekiah Washington and Verbaline Allan Holybee. She married Jeff Sellers on 15 Feb 1883 in San Angelo, Texas. Her sister Louisa J married Jeff's brother John R. Jeff and Verbaline had possibly eleven children (nine named on two censuses[2]): Cora, Ada Leann (possibly Cora's twin who died young; not listed on census), Joseph (listed as son in 1900 census, but as daughter in 1910 census), Allen Thurman, Alvin, Thomas, Edna (married Braddock), Myrtle (Mertie) Lee (the headstone say died 1918[3], other Ancestry family trees say she died in 1987[4][5]), Matthew Allen (possibly died young; not listed on census), John (Johnnie) Jefferson, Josie Viola. Verbaline died in 1919.
Two of Jeff and Verbaline's children, Cora and Alvin married Rowland siblings, James (Jim) Jackson and Leafie Aline. Cora and Jim Rowland had a daughter named Verbaline (Virbie) Mary. Virbie married Leonard Randolph Landress and had a number of children, one of whom was named Virba Louise. And another daughter named Bobbie Etta. Bobbie married Homer Johnson, had a daughter Lori, who married Alfred Ray Rodriguez. Their son Justin is with Lydia Wheeler, the daughter of Dennis and Vicki Trevathan Wheeler.
