Biography
Jeanette was born in 1821.[1]
She was first married to James Whittemore[2]. On 25 May 1854, she married lawyer John McKeon.[3] She appears with him and their blended family in the 1855 New York Census. With them are James B (14) and Jeannette S (6) from the first marriage and Mary A (5/12) from the second, as well as 3 servants.[4]
She died 10 Dec 1889 at 69.[5] This was published in the Brooklyn Eagle: "Jeannette wid Hon John McKeon and dau late Adm. John D. Sloat".[6]
