Dell Roy Keith was born on 7 Jul 1888 in Barr Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Daniel Keith (1850–1930) and Mary Jane (Long) Keith (1861–1916).
Dell died on 11 Jul 1964 in White Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 76.[1] He was buried in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
Dell married Goldie Mae (Laney) Keith (born on 26 Sep 1891 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania; daughter of Bayard Rush Laney and Margaret Ursula (Gallaher) Laney) on 22 Oct 1908. Their known son was Pvt. Carl Edgar Keith (1923–1944).

Dell Roy Keith, 76, Starford, passed away Saturday, July 11, 1964 in the Indiana Hospital after a lingering illness. A son of Daniel and Sarah Long Keith, he was born July 7, 1888, at Barr Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He was married on October 22, 1908, to the former Goldie Mae Laney, who survives. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Keith was superintendent of the James Coal Company of Starford. He was formerly a mine foreman with the Greenwich Coal Co. and the Estep Brothers Coal Co., both of Starford. Mr. Keith was a member of the Methodist Church of Starford. Surviving are his wife, mentioned above; six daughters: Mrs. Clair (Geraldine) Tucker of Franklin; Mrs. Miles (Helen) Higgins of San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Lovelace, Monterey, Calif.; Mrs. Quay (Dorothy) Nicodemus of Rochester, N. Y.; Mrs. Chalmers (Lila) Edwards, Rural Valley; Mrs. Lawrence (Althea) Dunlap of Starford; one son, Ernest H. Keith, Commodore; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Puleo of Spangler; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A son, Carl Edgar Keith, was killed July 12, 1944, while a soldier in the European Theater of Operations during WWII. Interment in Oakland Cemetery in Indiana.
