Virgil's birth father was Lorenzo Parker (1870-1898).
Virgil apparently was adopted by John Vincent after John married Ella (Virgil's mother) in 1903. In the 1910 census he is still listed with the surname of Parker. But, by the time Virgil married Tropha, in 1919, his surname was Vincent.
I have been unable to find the adoption documents. If any of Virgil's relatives know when the adoption happened please feel free to document here.
