Louis was born in 1895. He is the son of Louis Beardsley and Sylvia Downes. He passed away in 1961. ^[1]

Obituary

Louis Beneriict Beardsley, 66, of Moose Hill road, a retired employee of the Sikorsky aircraft division, died today in the West Haven Veterans Hospital after an illness of several months.

Services will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Monroe funeral home of Wilmot, West and Goulding, Route 25, Main street, Stepney, with the Rev. W. Raymond Ward, pastor of the Monroe Congregational church officiating. Burial will be in Cutlers Farm Cemetery.

Born in Monroe, Mr. Beardsley resided here all his life. He was a member of the Masonic lodge 92, and Harmonv Grange, and the American legion. Sippin Winspur post, American Legion, the Sikorsky Square club. and the Monroe Congregational church.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Bearden (sic) Beardsley; two sons, Roger G., and Earle B. Beardsley, both of Monroe; a brother, Edward M. Beardsley, of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Smith, of Oxford; seven grand-children; and several nieces and nephews. [The Bridgeport Telegram, Bridgeport, Conn., 2 Jun 1961, Pg 43]
