He was the son of the Hon. Major Frederick Howard and Frances Susan Lambton.[1]He was born on the 1st of March 1814[1]and baptised on the 24th of March 1814 at St. Nicholas', Brighton, Sussex, England.[2]He married the Lady Fanny Cavendish, daughter of the Hon. Louisa O'Callaghan and the Hon. William Cavendish on the 1st of July 1837[1]at Brentford, Middlesex, England.[3]He died on the 28th of February 1897 at the age of 82 at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.[4][5]
