John Cunningham was born about 1824 in Ireland to Lawrence Cunningham and Margaret Connor. John passed away on 7 December 1887 while living in Clinton, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA at the age of 63. The given names of his parents, Lawrence and Margaret (Marg in John's marriage record), are known from both his marriage record and his death record. Margaret was living in John's household during the 1860 U.S. Federal Census.

The date entered on the first and the last page of the Massachusetts State Census for Clinton, Massachusetts is July 5th, 1855. This was before the marriage of John and Mary. As of July 11, 2018, I am trying to find them in 1855. Earlier I had entered a date of 26 August 1855 for the Clinton Census. I'm not sure where I saw that. It may have been from the Census of a nearby town and entered here incorrectly.
On or about 24 September 1855, the 1855 Massachusetts State Census was conducted in Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts. There were ten Cunningham's living in Lancaster during the 1855 Census. Two were named John, but I don't think either was the John of this profile. One John Cunningham was the head of a family of eight including himself. His listed birthplace was Scotland and all the other family members were born in Massachusetts. The other John Cunningham was living with the family of Yasbell Bancroft. His mother Margaret (about 75 years old) was living with them. Mary Conway (about 28 years old) was also living with them. His occupation was Laborer and he owned real estate valued at about $500.
