Biography

William was born at Earsham in 1830, the son of Daniel and Sarah, and he was christened on 23 May.^[1]

At the 1841 census he was living in Earsham with his parents and six siblings.^[2]

In 1861 he was still in Earsham, now with his wife Elizabeth and two young sons William and Frederick. Also in the household was the widow Martha Barnes, but there is no indication of the relationship.

He married Elizabeth Brown at Earsham on 27 February 1854.^[3]

By 1871 the family had moved to Denton and added a son and a daughter.^[4] William and Elizabeth remained in Denton through to the 1901 census.^[5]

William died in 1916.^[6]
