Biography
The Dresden Enterprise Obituaries Wednesday, November 29, 2006 Doris Woodruff Cooper, 80, of Dresden, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services for Mrs. Cooper were held Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Bro. William Norrid officiated the services. Mrs. Cooper was a LPN at Weakley County Nursing Home and a member of Lebanon Church of Christ near Dresden. She was a native of Weakley County and the daughter of the late William Rufus and Mamon Olive Prince Woodruff. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cooper was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Harold Fields Cooper, whom she married in 1942; two sisters; and three brothers. Mrs. Cooper is survived by a daughter, Charlene (Byran) Rich of Dresden; two sons, Ralph (Sue) Cooper of Dresden, and Richard F. Cooper of Paris; a sister, Rupayne Morris of Dresden; a brother, Joe Woodruff of Martin; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
