Biography

Jane was born in 1830. Jane DeVault ... She passed away in 1910.

There are three DeVaults in Vinton, Ohio in 1850 (Jane was married in 1853 in Vinton, Ohio) - Lewis, Cyrus and Jacob - who could easily be brothers to Jane. They are sons of Samuel Devault and Elizabeth Lewis (according to ancestry trees - and some say they had a dtr Jane).

Samuel born 1791 in Manallen/Mannheim, York Pennsylvania, is said to be a son of Gabriel Devault and Magdalena Kitzmiller (these two are on WikiTree). BUT need to find proof/sources before they can be connected.

NOTE: in the 1900 Census, Jane says both of her parents were born in PA. The above Samuel DeVault was born PA, but Elizabeth Lewis was b VA? Haven't found a source with her on it so really hard to say.
