John, born Apr. 29, 1741 in Philadelphia County near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was apparently the twin of Jacob. Their parents were Bernard Kepner and Maria Lindenmuth.[1] (His gravestone indicates he was born in April 1737 in Berks County, Colonial Pennsylvania; in that case, they were not twins.) His age on the monument is listed as 98 years.[2]
His wife's name was Maria. He also used the name Kepler. He had three children: Amos, John, and Hanna.[1] They apparently joined the migration to the Northwest Territory, living in Perry County, Pennsylvania.
John died Jan 3, 1836 and is buried at Saint Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Millerstown, Perry County, Pennsylvania, USA.[2]
