W. F. Mace

Lampasas, April 2. - W. F. Mace, 81, member of a prominent pioneer Lampasas County family, died suddenly Thursday at the family home.

He was born in Smith County and came to Lampasas County with his parents more that 75 years ago. For the past 50 years he had resided in Lampasas. For a number of years he was manager of the J. I. Campbell Lumber Company and later operated the Mace Lumber Company.

The funeral services were held Friday at the First Methodist Church by the Rev. George B. McCrary, assisted by the Rev. R. H. Mathison. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, a son, Howard F. Mace of Mexia; a brother, J. O. Mace of Lampasas; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Stanley of Longview.
