Barbara was born in 1810 to Henry Edward Gould Yelverton, 19th Lord (of Ruthin) and Anna Maria Kelham.[1]
She was born on the 20th of May 1810[1]at Brandon House, Warwickshire, England.[2]
She was married twice, firstly, George Augustus Francis Rawdon-Hastings, 2nd Marquess of Hastings, son of Flora Campbell, the 6th Countess of Loudoun and Francis Rawdon-Hastings, 1st Marquess of Hastings, on the 18th of August 1831.[1]at Wolston, Warwickshire, England.[3]
She married, secondly, Admiral Sir Hastings Reginald Yelverton, son of the Lady Emily Elizabeth FitzGerald and John Joseph Henry, on the 9th of April 1845.[4]

Roger de Grey, of Ruthyn Castle, a younger son of John, 3rd Baron Grey de Wilton (see STAMFORD), was summoned by writ, 1324, as Baron Grey de Ruthyn. He married the granddaughter and co-heir of Aymer de Vallence, Earl of Pembroke. The 4th baron was created Earl of Kent, 1465, a title which passed from this line on decease of the 8th earl; and the 15th baron, Earl of Sussex, which dignity expired with its third possessor. The name of Yelverton came into the family by the marriage of Susan Longueville, Baroness Grey de Ruthyn (grand-niece of Henry Grey, 8th Earl of Kent), with Sir Henry Yelverton, Bart., of Easton Mauduit, co. Northampton.
