Mrs. Dorothy E. Roethke, 87, of 437 Indiana Ave., North Fond du Lac, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home. She was in failing health for . two years. , She was born Sept. 13, 1884, In the Town of Nekimi, a daughter of August and Theresa Koplitz Frank. On Oct 29, 1902, she was married to Edward F. Roethke in the Town of Eldorado. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in 1952. They lived in Oshkosh, Neenah and came to North Fond du Lac in 1910. Mrs. Roethke was a member of First Baptist Church and Circle W. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Panetti of Juneau and Mrs. Ella Bastien at home; a son, E. Chester Roethke of Minneapolis, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 30, 1955, and by a sister and three stepbrothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Candlish Chapel with the Rev. Ogle C h a s t a i n officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapeL
