Biography

SAMUEL SEARLE was the son of Samuel Searl and Deborah Bragg.

IF Samuel is the ELDEST child of Samuel and Deborah, then he was born likely in Ipswich about say 1682-1683 as he is listed by Blodgette as the eldest known child born BEFORE Willian (1) who was born 16 October 1685 (and who died 6 days later on 22 October). Samuel was named along with his brothers and sisters in the settlement of his grandfather Bragg's estate in 1709.^[1]

IF Samuel is actually the youngest child, then he would have been born AFTER William (2) who was born in Rowley on 8 September 1690.^[2]

Only a review of the will Grandfather Braggs may resolve the issue. Either way, no other record for him appears, so he probably died shortly after the probate settlement.
