Emily was born in 1846, and baptized on the 16th of June 1846, at Binley, Warwickshire, England.[1] She was the daughter of William Craven, 2nd Earl of Craven and Lady Emily Mary Grimston.[2]
Emily married Lt.-Col. Victor William Bates Van de Weyer, son of Jean Sylvain Van de Weyer and Elizabeth Anne Sturgis Bates, on the 6th of August 1868, at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.[3]
