Born about 1683 Heneage Finch was the eldest son of Heneage Finch, M.P., 1st Earl of Aylesford, and his wife, Elizabeth Banks, daughter and coheir of John Banks, 1st Baronett., M.P., of Aylesford in Kent. He was educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford. Heneage was first returned to Parliament in 1704 as member for Maidstone.
On 9 December 1712 he married Mary Fisher, daughter and heir of Sir Clement Fisher, 3rd Baronet of Packington in Warwickshire who bore him 1 son and 3 daughters. He succeeded his father as Earl of Aylesford on 22 July 1719.
He died on 29 June 1757.
