Biography
Johanne Amalie was born in 1856. She was the daughter of Johann Christoph Henze and Johanne Elisabeth Lehamnn. She passed away in 1927 Birth: Aug. 12, 1856 Death: Jul. 6, 1927
Her father was Christian Hinze and her mother was Dorothea Bormann. Emily or Emelia was born in Gernrode, Germany according to her marriage document. She married Oskar Thaler in Detmold, Germany and emigrated with him in 1882 to Austin Co., Texas to join his father, Christoph Frederick (Fritz) Thaler. By 1884, she and Oskar were in Williamson Co., Texas and Fritz was deceased and buried in Shelby Cemetery, Austin Co. Oskar and Emily went on to own property and live near Rice's Crossing, Milam Co. Texas.
They were the parents of five children: Robert Emil, b. 1883 who married Ellena Fick; Amelia Ida, b. 1885, who married Otto Reinhold F. Leschber; Erna L., b. 1887, who married Gustaf Carl Leschber; Gertrude Auguste, b. 1889, who married George Carl Laffere; and Elfreida M., b. 1895, who married Hans Westermann.
