Biography
Evan MacGregor is a member of Clan MacGregor.
Sons: Gregor, Iain Dubh, executed in 1604 with the other McGregor's.
Tutor to minority MacGregor's.
Evan MacGregor was the son of Alasdair MacGregor, 8th Chief of Clan Gregor and unknown Campbell. He died before 1601.
In 1561 he was outlawed for murder and other crimes. In 1584 he was summoned to appear personally before King James VI and the Privy Council to answer for the suppression of ‘broken men.' He was Tutor of Glenstrae during the 11th Chief's minority in 1584.
