Biography
Sarah was a Friend (Quaker)
Sarah was born in County Armagh, Ireland in 1711. Various sources give her date of birth as 6th may, 30th October or 30th December. Her parents were Henry Greer and Sarah Henderson.
Her birth was included in the minutes of Religious Society of Friends in 1711.
She married Rev. John Carroll in about 1729. John Carroll was Presbyterian, so she married out of the faith. Their marriage does not appear to be mentioned in the minutes of the Quaker meetings.
They had a daughter in 1734, who died aged 3 in 1738. Her birth and death do not appear in the Quaker meeting records either.
